Chuck Skillman started in construction in 1995 with Bechtel and moved into underground construction in 1999 as a “boots on the grounds” product and equipment representative ultimately moving to Horizontal Rig & Equipment (HRE). From experience in the oil field in 2012, to continued work in the directional drilling industry, to the boom in the shale industry there was always a need for personal experience in equipment, product, and operations.
Chuck has always recognized that Geotechnical Service is a mix of Science and Experience. “One did not seem to work best without the other.”
Sentinel brought Science and experience to the drilling and solids control industry in 2016.
With Sentinel’s continued growth, we are now able to bring a full line of rental equipment to serve the drilling community and hold a national distributorship of drilling fluids. But most of all, bringing the science and experience with it.
Chuck takes a personal interest in each project and takes mud engineering and his experience to determine what combination of fluids and equipment that meet your goals and make projects profitable.

Bergen Point
This project consists of the replacement of 3 miles of 50-year-old, six-foot diameter, prestressed concrete cylinder piping, laying under the Great South Bay, and facilitating the year-round discharge of the Bergen Point WWTP in the Atlantic Ocean.
